November 14 Bulletin
Pemberton Rotary Club was an award recipient during this year's Thanks For Giving Dinner held at the Quality Inn in Toms River on November 4.
Our Club received the prestigious Sustaining Member Club Award due to our commitment to Every Rotarian Every Year contributions, coupled with sustaining memberships.
The Pemberton Club had a good showing at the annual meeting as President Mike, Fred and Patricia, Mike and TC, Rita and Maria and Marie were all in attendance.
The guest speaker for the event detailed the extensive progress that has been made in eradicating Polio since Rotary began its campaign to fight the disease in 1988. The Global Polio Eradication Initiative has reduced the incidence of polio by more than 99 percent. At the time, more than 125 countries were polio-endemic, and more than 350,000 children were paralyzed by the disease each year.
